Here we are, near the end of October, so it's probably a good time to update everyone on how things are going.

First of all, the job is going GREAT. I love it, I love being able to go into work and code as I want. Making contributions to the team. Learning, so that I can improve my contributions and make more in the future. It just feels so good to finally be doing what I want. You know?

Second of all. Now that I'm back on my feet, I've gotten myself a nice little apartment. And with the help of friends, gotten enough furniture and such to make it livable. I'm still getting all the little miscellaneous stuff, but everything is going quite well, and I'm very happy with it. In fact, I've even FINALLY managed to get all my books unpacked and onto bookshelves where they belong. This also contributes to my happiness.

Thirdly, due to how I was hired, I actually got 15 seconds of fame. I was interviewed a couple of times, once for a magazine involving state governments and such, once for a local television station. Yes, I was on TV, albeit locally.

And finally, yesterday, as I was coming home from work, I literally saw the brightest, closest rainbow I have ever seen. It was so wide, it was unreal. I did what I could to take a pic with my camera phone, but it doesn't do it any justice. Take a look here: [link]

Anyway, things are just going excellent, and I'm the happiest I have been in a long time.
